Your away team manages to hack into Khan's research data and learn what he did in an attempt to treat those patients. Many of the comatose patients recover, even as Khan denies the allegations against him.

Mirror Khan has enlisted the crew of the Cerritos in testing out new methods of sealing up the rifts, but both Tendi and T'Lyn are concerned that his methods may cause more harm.

Your away team assists Tendi and T'Lyn with testing out Khan's new methods and tweaking them to get better results - or at least to avoid tearing the ship apart from the inside.

While attempting to seal a rift, every member of your away team is switched with a counterpart from another universe.

Carol Freeman contacts you in a panic, her head that of a Doopler, after the possibility field reappeared around the portal she and the other staff at Starbase 80 are monitoring. She asks you to investigate.

Your away team investigates and finds MirrorKhan is destabilizing several fissures, leading to the possibilty field reappearing around the portal. You put a stop to his risky activities and the portal stabilizes.

After pervasive research, your away team implements myriad safety measures, to the point that Mirror Khan resents your presence, but he does manage to open a small controlled rift safely.

The catastrophic experiment results in everyone in the lab being sucked into a black hole of a fissure.
