Storyline
Announcement
As if the temporal crisis hadn't mixed things up enough, now the eruption of fissures throughout the cosmic landscape is threatening to throw the universe into further disarray. And Captain Boimler thinks he may have found the cause - the Cerritos?! [1]
Prologue
- Captain William Boimler: Hello, Captain. We need your help. But we also need your discretion. We were on Thasus, investigating a rumor that the crew of Charlie Evans' transport ship was somehow no longer dead. And yeah, Charlie, his family, and their fellow passengers were alive and all psychic."
- Captain William Boimler: "If only that were the weirdest part. But it's not. While we were there, the Cerritos came barreling through a giant rift. The tachyon readings were off the charts. Half the systems on my bridge exploded. And then the Cerritos attacked!"
- Fissure Quest T'Pol: "Captain Boimler, please, remember your deep breathing exercises Doctor Garak taught you. Captain, as you have been informed, we are dealing with an attack from a Cerritos that is quite different from our own. They will not respond to our hails."
- Fissure Guest T'Pol: "It is clear they hail from a separate quantum reality. My concern is that, unlike a standard temporal anomaly, the rift this Cerritos came through appears to be breaking down the barriers between realities. Please help us stop the Cerritos and make contact."
Intermission
- Captain William Boimler: "Thank you for helping us push back on the Cerritos, Captain! They're still refusing our hails though! I don't want to keep fighting them - I just want to get through to them so we can figure out what's happening."
- Alternate Reality Keras: "This is not an isolated incident. I still struggle to understand what I have seen. In my reality, what you call the Neutral Zone is the main battlefront of an ongoing inter-faction war."
- Alternate Reality Keras: "Yet here...it seems it is the edge of a barren stretch of what used to be our empire, torn asunder by a cosmic calamity. But now, it is as if both exist simultaneously-"
- Choice A
- Captain: "How can both exist simultaneously?"
- Fissure Guest T'Pol: "The borders between quantum realities are indeed breaking down around these fissures. Temporal anomalies have already weakened the fabric of spacetime. These fissures may be what humans of the past referred to as the 'last straw'."
- Choice B
- Captain: "My apologies, I cannot imagine learning of the supernova like this."
- Alternate Reality Keras: "You needn't apologize. I am grateful our sun did not follow the same trajectory, though now I wonder what it was that caused such a stark difference between our realities. Or what has become of those who survived."
- Choice C
- Captain: "If the Cerritos wants a fight, it's a fight they'll get!"
- Fissure Guest T'Pol: "Quantum realities or not, Captain, the Cerritos is still a Federation vessel. They may be the aggressor here, but we still need to bring them back in one piece."
- Captain William Boimler‘: "I hate to interrupt but I wish someone would bring the Cerritos up to speed on all this, because they're gearing up for another attack!"
Epilogue
- Captain William Boimler: "Whew, it might have taken a little more than a TL,'DR, but we managed to get through to the Cerritos. Supposedly Captain Freeman thought we were invading their universe."
- Fissure Quest T'Pol: "I suspect this is only the beginning. This was not merely a case of one ship wandering into another reality. It was as if the realities themselves were merging."
